Hi Readers, Content and timing go hand in hand that is why I am proud to release this interview in a time like this. Highlighting the entrepreneurial of this young man. His story is a story of resilience, handwork and perseverance.
My guest today is Abraham Abubakar.

EBUBE: PLEASE TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF? SHARE WITH US YOUR JOURNEY INTO ENTREPRENEURSHIP:

ABRAHAM: My name is Abraham Abubakar Daniel. A graduate of estate management from Temple Gate polytechnic. I am from kogi state. I am 26years old. I reside in Port-harcourt. I am a Christian. I have flair for writing and speaking.
My dad used to be a muslim. Got married to my mum who was a Christian and then converted him to a christian. We are just two. My elder sister and I. I come from a very humble background. We grew up in Ibadan that’s in Oyo state and then we came to Port Harcourt because of my dad’s job. When I was about to finish secondary school, things weren’t really that good again so I had to go get something to do so I left secondary school in my SS2, I wrote GCE and then I went to look for a teaching job. I got a filling station job and also tried to learn barbing saloon job. I also did menial job like clearing the bush and carrying blocks. I got the filling station job, I was being paid N2500 per month and they don’t really pay us every month, they paid us after 4 months. They combine and pay us at once but we normally make money everyday so it was from there I got money to write my waec and also pay my expenses when I got admission. I processed my supplementary. My dad just had to come with my school fees, I did every other myself. So after my ND2 things were not really that good. I had to go and work before I go back for my HND. Luckily, I went to a private HND school and I went for it part-time.
God directed a pastor to me, he trained me in school for my HND and then I graduated. I graduated in 2018. I was supposed to graduate in 2017 but I delayed. Ever since, I have been working, I haven’t served. I have developed myself into doing so many things. 3D animation, Content Writer, Public Speaker and A writer. I have few of my writings on Opera News and Medium. I was formerly comedian, rapper and dancer.

EBUBE: HOW HAS CONTENT WRITING CHANGED YOU AS A PERSON?

ABRAHAM: Well before content creation I had actually been a reader but content creation has opened me up to learn more because writing requires that you learn more from others in other to gain inspiration and all that..
So personally content creation has made me more of a listener and increase my quest for knowledge

EBUBE: ARE THERE CERTAIN ISSUES YOU FEEL INCLINED TO WRITE ABOUT?

ABRAHAM: Hmmm yes. Business and Religion. I felt like if people can learn the ropes of business and lunch into financial stability out world will be a better world.
Religion because I also felt that if people can learn about God’s way we will be patient enough not hurt others or do funny things to amass wealth.

EBUBE: DO YOU THINK WRITING CAN REALLY CHANGE THE WORLD? IT’S MERE WORDS JUST WRITTEN ISN’T IT?

ABRAHAM: I believe writing has is own role in changing the world. Many people have been taking wrong steps because of what they read, some have made wrong investment because of what they read, some have made wrong decisions because of what they read , if reading can do all these then I also believe writing the right information about certain things can also change people for the positive side thereby writing can also change the world.

EBUBE: AS A CHRISTIAN WRITER, HOW DOES YOUR WRITING SERVE THE MULTILATERAL NATURE OF RELIGIONS IN NIGERIA OR DO YOU THINK IT’S BEST TO ACT ON YOUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS ALONE?

ABRAHAM: In this context, there are various topics under my faith. There are topics I write that will virtually address every individual while there are some that just apply to only people of my faith so my religious writing is so diverse.

EBUBE: IN BUSINESS, NIGERIA DOESN’T WORK THE SAME WAY AS SILICON VALLEY, IN A NATIONAL BUSINESS SYSTEM THAT FAVOURS THE WEALTHY, WHAT DO YOU PRESCRIBE FOR THE AVERAGE NIGERIAN OPTING IN FOR BUSINESS?

ABRAHAM: Average Nigerian Business opting for a business should always do business in this two direction:-
1- Create  Business that has an already market not a business you really want.

2- Improved on already existing business if you can’t create new one

EBUBE: THE 2020 PANDEMIC IS ONE THAT HAS TAKEN THE WORLD UNAWARES AND HAS AFFECTED BUSINESSES AND ENTERPRISES, WHAT DO YOU SPECULATE WOULD BE THE GREATER IMPACT OF THIS PANDEMIC ON BUSINESSES?

ABRAHAM: Not to be negative but some businesses will pack up while some will reduce worker’s strength. That is why as a business person it is advisable not to earn income from just one place and also advisable that major Business owner should always save up for rainy days.

EBUBE: WHAT IS THE TOP BUSINESS ADVICE SOMEONE HAS EVER GIVEN YOU?

ABRAHAM: Task your brain : look for a market where no one is supplying their demand and establish a business there

EBUBE: TO SOMEONE WILLING TO START UP A BUSINESS FROM SCRATCH, WHAT DO YOU ADVICE WOULD BE A GUIDE ON THEIR JOURNEY?

ABRAHAM: Don’t do business because others are doing it start a business that genuinely has an already market and build a business there.

EBUBE: ON A LIGHT NOTE, PICK ONE
